Lot’s To Say

I haven’t posted in like a month, this is crazy. My senior year has been so busy I just don’t have the time to post as frequently as I used to. This is going to be a long post so I’ll just warn you of that in the begining. Oh, just so you know, right now I’m in love with that song ‘Photograph’ by Nickleback. Thought I’d share that with you. It’s a great song, go check it out.

Where should I start. Hmm… Spirit Week would probably be the best place. About 2 weeks ago we had Spirit Week, which is the week leading up to Homecoming. What that basically means is that for a week everyone has a logical excuse to dress up in weird random costumes. It’s always a blast, some people go all out for. One day I was a pirate (arrg), then I was a hippie (peace and love), Christina and I were twins one day (I’m the pretty twin), and I got to wear a super awesome toga (baby blue of course). A few of my friends did some really crazy stuff. A couple of the guys got body wax’s for toga day (ouch!). Two other guys dressed up as Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (rather creepy). It was a great week, I’m put up some pictures of it and you’ll see what I mean.

The Homecoming game was good. We beat the other school bad, but that’s exspected at a Homecoming game. Afterwards my friends and I thought ‘There’s no way we’re going to that gay/lame Homecoming Dance.’ So we cruised around town and hung out at Walmart for a while (b/c that’s the only place in this stupid little town that’s open that late.) That was also the night when ‘smexy‘ became a prominant word in my vocabulary. Yeah that night was super great and extremely smexy (like me).

My friend elliot’s dad makes a lot of independent films. They aren’t those crappy kind that your thinking of, they are really good. The latest one was called “Dancing in the Moonlight” and it was an off-beat romantic comedy about a werewolf. That sounds wierd but believe me it was one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. So, what does this have to do with anything? Friday night Elliot tells me that the movie is premiring at one of the local theaters at midnight. Of course I had to go, there was no way that I was going to miss it. But Saturday morning all my friends were taking the ACT’s and none of them could go. (I got a 30 on the ACT and I don’t need to take it again like those losers. JK.) I knew Elliot was going to be there b/c it was his dad’s movies but he was the only one.

So I get off work late Friday night and then around 11:40 I leave for the theater. Here I am, a small girl in her small car, driving around town late at night. It was cold and foggy and needless to say I was a little creeped out. I was so sure that I would get there and no one else would be there b/c Elliot had just played some horrible trick on me. But no, I get there and there’s a rather large crowd and everyone seems really excited about the movie. So everything worked out, though I wish some more of my friends could have gone. I seriously need some more friends who just don’t care and will hang out with me really late at night like that. But whatever, the movie was super awesome, smexy even. I absolutely loved the soundtrack.

Oh, this reminds me. I have a long list of houses that I need to roll. I really need to do that some time soon. It will be really fun if all my friends that said they would go with me do. Can you believe it, I have one friend who has never rolled a house before? Seriously, a senior in high school who hasn’t T.P.’ed a house. It’s sad, she definetely has to go with us. Hmm… you know all this sounds kind of bad now that I look at it. But it’s not as bad as you think it is, trust me. Around here is sort of a tradition to roll your friends houses. We all love to pull pranks on each other like that.

Have I written enough yet? I think I’ve written too much actually. Then I guess I’ll stop rambling now. I don’t want to completely bore you to death. Huh, I don’t anyone will even read this whole post so it doesn’t even matter. Ha, yeah. That’s all, I’ll try to have a shorter interval between my next posts. Bye. Go Roll Some Houses, My Readers!

Whateva’

Uhh… I don’t have mcuh to say so whatever… let me think. I just thought I should update I don’t really have any breaking news or anything. Well, first off I would like to say that I love my fourth period. It’s great! We don’t really do much, I hang around and joke with a few of my friends (I think we really annoy the teacher). But it’s English class and I’m a senior so you know what that means, yep, portfolios. Oh, how I hate portfolios with a fiery passion. It’s not that I don’t like writting, that I enjoy, but I don’t like doing in on demand. Actually, I can’t do it on demand. I can’t have a teacher tell me, “Write an interesting creative piece of work by Tuesday morning.” That’s not how it works. Oh well, I’m sure I will manage to pull something together that will get me a proficient. But, aside from the whole portfolio thing, I love 4th period. The teacher is a ton of fun too. Christina *winks at Christina* knows what I’m talking about. Oh, good times. Alright, that’s about all I have to say for now. I’ll try to post again sooner or later. Peace out My Readers!

Look –>

If you scroll down a little bit and look on the right side of the page you will see that I have added a new album called AMSTEMM. It’s full of pics from from stay at UK. I think the one with the pizza is my favorite, look at the pics and you’ll see what I mean. So, there you go. You can all go look and be happy.

Last night Christina and I went to this concert at Jitters and it was great. The band was Pivitplex (christian rock group) and they are really good. It was suppossed to start right after the PC/Somerset football game so we expected them to start playing about 10 or 11pm. That’s not what happened. I didn’t go to the game and I don’t know if it got delayed because of the rain or went into triple-over-time or what but something must have happened. The band didn’t even start until about 12:30. I was hyped up on coffee but I was still tired and it wasn’t over until like 2:30 am. I bought this cute Pivitplex wrist band, because I’m all about the wrist bands. Christina got one too, she also got a shirt. We also got free posters with the purchase so we got the guys to sign them for us. They seem like really nice guys. I didn’t get home until about 3am but it was totally worth it and my parents didn’t care anyway.

On another note, it’s been rainy all week. But every day when I would go outside for lunch it would have stopped raining and got all sunny again. I was so sad about that. But then on Friday we got to eat outside in the rain. I was so happy! Most of the people who normally sit out there stayed inside so all of the tables were free. We picked a good one with an umbrella but we still got wet. John had his hat with him and we used it to wipe of the seats so our butts wouldn’t get too wet. There were only 5 of us at first but then we persuaded one of the other guys to come out and join us. The kids inside were looking at us (the wall is made of glass, like one big window so you can see outside from the inside) like we were insane, which we probably are. It was awesome. It wasb’t raining too hard, it was like a soft mist and it was very refreshing. Oh, I can tell this is going to be a great year. Go eat in the rain My Readers!

Update

First off I want to update on my grandfather’s condition. He got worse for a little while. The skin on his neck was burnt and began to swell and he couldn’t breath. They put him into an induced coma and rushed him down to some special burn center in Tennessee. They had to do surgey on him Tuesday, they did a skin graft on his legs. As of now all of his vitals are stable and he’s doing alright. They are going to keep him out of it for about 2 weeks so he doesn’t have to deal with the pain. They say that its the 4th and 5th days after a burn that you have to worry about, thats when stuff starts to give out and get infected. If he makes it to the weekend then he will probably be fine. I thank all of you for your prayers, it means a lot to me. Thank you so much.

So, lets try not to dwell on the sad news. I’m sure I can think of something possitive to post. As of now I have sat outside every day and I found out that 2 of my friends, John and Elliot, made a pact to sit outside everyday so they will be out there with me in the bad weather. It has been really hot during the days and then it rains at night. I wish it would rain during the daa, it would cool things off and I could eat my lunch in the rain. I think I would enjoy that. Tomorrow we are having our pictures taken at school. I guess I have to get up early and do something with my hair. I should make sure I look good, this is the last school picture I’ll ever take. Oh, that sounds wierd. Speaking of pictures, I finally finished that roll of film that was in my camera. I dropped it off to get developed today so I’ll have the pictures tomorrow. I’m so excited, I can’t wait to see how they turn out. I’m not really sure what all is on that roll of film. There are some pictures from AMSTEMM and some I took over the summer and probably some wierd random stuff. I’ll be sure to put some of them on the site some time. I guess that’s it. Go take some pictures My Readers!

School Has Begun

Yeah, so school started. But that was like 2 weeks ago so I guess that’s old news. I have this class called Film and Art. It’s so great. We watch movies and then we talk about them. And the teacher is one of those really interesting ones so we talk about some really indepth stuff. It’s such a fun class. Chemistry isn’t too bad. It’s not hard or anything it’s just that there are only 3 seniors in there (including me) and everyone else is a junior. But my friend Heather is the teacher’s aide for my class and my other friend Amy is teacher’s aide that peroid so she hangs out in their and we have fun. Whenever the teacher gives us a worksheet to do or something I just go sit in one of the big comfy chairs in the back room and hang out with those guys while the juniors sit at thier desks and do their work. (I do my work too of course but in a much more comfortable setting.) There’s a lot of work to do in Advanced Placement European History but I do like that class. All we do in Oral and Written Communications is work on our stupid portfolios. And I’ve stayed true to my word, I have eaten outside every day and I love it so much. No trying to figure out where to sit in the crowded, noisy lunchroom. I just go outside, sit in the warm sun, and eat with my senior friends. It’s so wonderful.

I went to Walmart on Thursday (I hate Walmart b/c it’s a monopoly and its evil but sometimes you have to go there) to get some material. My friend Nikki is going to make me a cool camo messenger bag. (Like I don’t have enough purse already.) It’s going to be awesome. I also got some duct tape while I was there. Regulare and camo. I love duct tape! Anyway. I’ve been working like 5 days a week but now that school has started that’s been kind of tough. So I talked to my boss and I’ll only be working 4 days a week now so that should be good. But the best thing is, I got a raise!!!! Yeah, w00t!! I’m so happy, and I didn’t even know until I got my check last night. My mom was like ‘Oh, I didn’t think you made that much.’ And I was like ‘What?’ But there it was on my check, Rate of Pay: 6.500 per hour. Then I did a little happy dance (or would have if I hadn’t been so tired). I knew that every couple of months they do some evaluation sort of thing, where they see how you’ve been doing and if you’ve been working hard and what not. So I guess my evaluation went well because I wasn’t making that much before. But yeah. Wooo!!! Go me!!! Now I can pay off that Europe trip in no time. Plus have plenty of cash saved up for college. Oh, I’m so happy. Well I guess I have to go now. I have some homework and then I have to go to work. So… Go do something My Readers!

Let’s see…

…what do I have to say. I don’t know. Christina said that I should update my blog so I am. School starts Tuesday. Can you believe it? I can’t. The whole summer just flew by. I think partly because I was working but also because that’s just how it goes. At the beggining you think about how long summer is and what you are going to do. Then next thing you know it’s over and your back to reading text books and writting reports. I’m sad that I have to go back to the rigid scedule and homework that comes with going to school but I will be glad to see some of my friends that I didn’t get a chance to talk to over the summer. But now that I’m a senior there is one thing that I have to do. Something I promised myself that I would do. I don’t care what anyone thinks and I’ll do it all by myself if I have to. You see, at my school when you are a senior you get certain privileges. The one thing I’ve wanted, that I have yearned for all through out my highscool experience I can now do. Because now that I’m a senior I can sit at the tables outside and eat my lunch. Ha, ha! Go me! Yeah that might be a bit of a let down to some of you. You were expecting me to say something cool and suprisingly exciting but no such luck. I just want to eat lunch outside. At my school this is a privilege reserved only for seniors. I know that other people do it. I have seen juniors and, dare I say it, sophmores sitting out there like it was no big deal. But I have never gone out there because I respect that only the seniors should be there. And now that I am a senior I’m going to sit out there every day. You laugh but it’s true. I will be out there every single day. Blazing heat, freezing clod, nothing will make me go inside. (I sound a bit like a mailman there.) I can picture it now. You picture it too. Imagine me sitting outside calmly eating my lunch. It’s snowing very hard while also hailing and sleeting. Lightning flashes in the sky, thunder booms, and a tornado can be seen approaching in the distance. The wind is blowing so hard that the food is flying off my plate. My friends are standing at the door yelling, “Jessica come back inside your going to get frost bite or struck by lightning or sucked up by the tornado!” My face turns towards them slowly. I just smile and take another bite of my mashed potatoes. Yeah. It’s going to be great. Hopefully there will be someone who is willing to eat outside with me most days. Brittney probably will (Hi Brittney *waves*). And I’m sure I can persuade someone to sit outside with me on the days when the weather is atrocious. There should be atleast one person who is that stupid/easily persuaded/devoted to me. Oh, there are good times ahead. I think that’s all for now. I await Tuesday afternoon when I will eat my school lunch outside for the first time. So that’s all for now. Until I write you again, go eat something My Readers!

Not Much To Say

As I mentioned in the title I don’t have much to say right now. Not a lot has happened. I finally went out and bought The Phantom of the Opera. I was so happy! I bought it Thursday and I’ve watched it every day since then. How sad it that? I just love that movie so much. The acting is excelent and the music is absolutely magnificent. You know what? I wouldn’t care if a guy had a partially deformed face if he sang to me like that. Seriously guys, forget the corny pick up lines and just sing something extremely romantic to the girl you want and she’s sure to be yours. But enough about that. What else? School starts soon. August 2nd, I don’t know why it starts so early here. We only have like 2 months off for summer break and that just flies by. Now I’m going to be a senior. *Shivers* That sounds so wierd to me. My last year of highschool and then I have to go out into the real world and start my own life. That’s a lot to think about. But it also means that I have to make the most of this last year of highschool. And how can I do that you ask? Hmmm… lets’ see. I have to keep my grades up. Hang out with my friends as much as I can. Give the preps hell. Pull the most wickedly awesome senior prank ever seen. And maybe even find a nice boy to hang out with. I think that’s about it. Dad is leaving for some bussiness trip tommorrow. He’ll probably be back Wednesday so it’s not a long trip. Tuesday I have to go to school and get my new schedule and parking permit. You can go any time between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm. I’m going to be there ant 8:30 and as soon as they open the doors I’ll start screaming “I want parking spot 396!” It’s the best parking spot in the whole lot and it’s going to be mine this year. If anyone else takes it then they better be prepared for the terrible consequences. *Moniacle Laugh* Mwahaha! Seriously, I want that spot. Then Thursday there’s an FCA Leaders Meeting I have to go to. We have to get ready for this year, pick out shirt designs, think of new ways to bring in freshmen, and all that stuff. Well I guess I had more to say than I thought. So I’ll post again sometime. Go enjoy your summer, My Readers!

A Little Something

Well, I haven’t posted in a while so I just thought I’d update it with a little bit of the stuff that’s happened lately. Most of it has to do with work so sorry if you don’t want to read about my borring life. The puppies are doing good. Went to a Harry Potter release party, because I’m a dork. It was fun but the new book sucks big time. The party was at Sam Goody’s and there are lots of cute guys who work there so that’s one of the reasons I went ; ). But of course I didn’t want Christina to have to go alone and I had nothing else to do. At work the other night Nikki said I had the prettiest bottom eyelashes. I didn’t really know how to respond to that. I was like ‘Thanks’ because it was a compliment but it was just sort of wierd. The servers have started tipping me, yay! Now that I think about it maybe it was just because I was new and they weren’t just going to tip me right away. So I guess that’s understandable. Yesterday I got 8 bucks (the monetary sum not the male deer) and today I made like 11. I know that doesn’t sound like much to some of you but to a teenager who saves every penny that’s a good amount. So I’m feeling pretty good. Put some gas in my car, that was nice. Gas is so expensive these days. So is milk. Somebody commented on here and said I look like Brittney Spears. That’s another wierd compliment. For one thing, I don’t see it. I mean Brittney Spears? Come on. I guess it’s a good thing because all the guys think she’s hot and whatever but she’s a slutty whore and I don’t know if I want to be compared to that. Oh well, I’m making too big of a deal out of it. What else? I went up to Mom’s shop today. Just to hang out for a little while because I was bored. And I was sitting outside on the steps and this truck full of guys went by and they whistled at me. That was unusual. That’s happened to me like 2 other times. I don’t like it. I feel like I’m being objectified. Seriously, do guys think that we like that? ‘Wow that guy just whistled at me from the back of a truck, he’s a keeper.’ Come on, it’s immature. Guys, don’t do it. Another thing, this is to girls as well as guys, hold doors open for people. Guys don’t just hold the door open for your date hold it for anyone who is carrying stuff or is in a wheel chair or whatever. Ladies you can hold the door open for people too, be curtious. Sometimes I’m at work and I’m carrying this huge tray full of stuff and there will be somebody standing right there and they won’t even take the time to open the door for me. Chivelry is dead. Dead I say! Come on people, it’s not that hard. I hold the door open for everyone. If I open the door then I hold it open for the people behind me, it’s a sign of respect. So if I don’t hold the door open for you it’s only because I hate you. Huh. Okay, enough for today. I’m gonna go instant message some people and watch TechTv until I pass out. Good night! Go hold doors open for people My Readers!

P.S.  To anyone who likes to read online comics you should go to http://www.megatokyo.com because it’s one of the best.

Candy and Puppies

Okay, first we’ll talk about the candy. Wednesday night Christina called and was like ‘I got my first pay check!’ (She’s working at Wendy’s) So I was like ‘We should go out and celebrate.’ So we did. But in this small town everything closes at like 9 so the only place still open was Walmart. The usual gothic kids weren’t there but there were some preppy kids hanging out in the parking lot. So we  just walked around trying to think of something to do. I saw Dana and talked to her for a while. Christina talked to her ‘boy friend’ at the pretzel place. (She’s going to hit me for that) Then we went down the candy isle and I suggested that we buy a whole bunch of candy and have a sleep over. So I stayed the night at Christina’s house and we ate candy and instant messaged people until we passed out around 5 in the morning. It was a ton of fun. The next day we went and saw War of the Worlds w/ Brittney, it’s a good movie.

Now, about the puppies. We have know that my dog was pregnant for a while and we expected puppies soon. Last night we couldn’t find her and my mom was getting worried about it but we decided that she was probably fine, just sleeping somewhere. It was getting late so I went into my room to watch some tv and eat left-over mexican food. Then I hear this noise coming from under my bed and I went over and looked and there was the dog. I have these boxes under my bed w/ clothes and shoes and stuff in them so I pulled them out and set them up on the bed. The dog was obviously about to have puppies so I yelled for my dad and he came down. We tried to move her somewhere better but she refused to move. So last night our dogs bacame the parents of 5 black puppies. But now we’re going to have to move my bed and shampoo the carpet b/c it’s totally gross. It’s nice to have puppies, they’re fun. But now we’re going to have to worry about giving them away and hoping they find a good home and that stuff. But I’d like all my friends to know that they can come over and play w/ the puppies and tell me how cute they are and whatever. That should be enjoyable.

Oh, one more thing. My dad went in for the ultra sound scan today and they didn’t find anything. We don’t know if that’s good or bad. Maybe there’s nothing wrong with him or maybe there is and they just can’t find it. Let’s hope it’s the first one. That’s all for toady. See you guys. Go pet some puppies My Readers!

AMSTEMM Pics

Hey, I got this letter today from the AMSTEMM people with a picture of the group and the address to the site where they have more pictures of us. They’re from the one day when we were at Altech and had our picture taken with Governer Fletcher. Go here to see them. In case you don’t know what I look like, I’m the blonde with the braids and the black skirt. That’s all I want to say. Go see the pictures My Readers!
