Blog It Like It’s Hot

I’m sure that all of you have heard of bored.com, it’s the place to go when you’re bored and one of my favorite sites. I was there earlier b/c I was bored, obviously. There was a link to this site full of funny music parodies and I was like ‘Oh that looks interesting I’ll check it out.’ It had a lot of funny stuff and I enjoyed the time I wasted there. The site was cyberparodies.com for anyone who wants to check it out. The point is that there was one song that totally reminded me of, well me. It’s a parodie of ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ and it’s called ‘Blog It Like It’s Hot‘. Check it out and I’m sure you’ll see what I mean. That’s all for now, just thought I’d share that. Alright. Blog On, My Readers!

Not a Total Piece of Crap

I thought I’d post something today. It’s almost 12 and I’m going to go to sleep soon but I’m watching this show and I want to stay awake for the rest of it. But I am really happy right now. This morning we went shopping. Well, ok we didn’t exactly go shopping. My mom and I went to some yard sales. That sounds really sad but I don’t care, I’m not above that. Anyway, we went to this one at this girl’s house. I know the girl she’s a friend of my brother. I a bunch of clothes there. Some nice pants, cute shirts, and a neat jacket. Plus I got these awesome shoes. They are green (my favorite color for those who don’t already know) and they look sort of dorky, almost like golf shoes but not exactly. My mom was like ‘Those shoes are ugly’ and I was like ‘That’s why I like them.’ I bet no one at school has shoes like that, they are unique. But I digress, let me get to explaining the title of this little post. At one yard sale I got one of those adapter things that have a tape on one ende and they plug into the headphone jack on a cd player. You put the tape into your car’s tape player and you can listen to your cd’s in your car. Well I was wondering if that would work for my MP3 player. Guess what? It did. So now I can listen to my MP3 player in the car. I’ve decided that that’s just about the coolest thing ever. And it’s added some value to my car. Not money wise, my car is still a piece of crap, but now I can listen to good music while I’m driving so really it all works out in the end. As long as I can have Green Day or The Killers or Muse blasting from my speakers then I can atleast feel like I’m in a good car.

But what else happened today? I know that you want to know. I was so happy that I got those clothes and that I can play MP3’s in my car that I thought I should do something special in honor of this great event. I couldn’t paint my nails because I had to work and we can’t wear nail polish. So I decided to put my hair up in some sort of interesting way instead of the usual half ponytail. So I braided it into 2 braids on the sides, like pig tails or whatever you call them. And I went to work and everyone said it looked cute and whatever. Also, I got paid today! It was a good check this time time. I’ve added it up in my head and if I save all the money that I get from working at Picasso’s then I’ll have enough to go on that Senior Trip and some left over. I’ll only spen the money I make working at my cousins houe, it’s not much but it’s good spending money. (Have I told you gusy about that? If not let me explain now. Like Once a week I go over to my cousin’s house and help take care of their two kids and clean up the house a little bit. It’s only for a couple hours and I make like 15 or 20 bucks each time so that’s where I get my money for gas and fast food.) So everything seems to be going good for me right now. In the time it took to write this my show has ended and the clock has changed so now it’s tommorw. Wait, what? It’s not tommorrow it’s just the next day. Wait. I started writting this on Friday and now it’s after midnight so it’s technically Saturday so you guys know what I mean. I think I’m going to go to sleep or something. I’ll post for you guys sometime soon. Rock On My Readers!

Great, Now Everything Can Kill You

I just heard this thing on the news about potato chips. I knew that they were unhealthy, clog up your arteries that sort of thing, but I had no idea how bad it was. Turns out that there is some kind of chemical that they use in potato chips that causes cancer. Yes, cancer! Now snacking won’t just make me fat and lazy it will also kill me slowly. Great! What has the world come to? Steriods in the meat, pesticides on the vegetables, cancer in the snack foods. What’s next, ice cream causes leprecy? It’s so sad. Now I don’t want to exagerate this too much. You have to eat a whole bunch of chips for you to actually get cancer, like 40 bags a day for a year or something. But still, it makes you think. ‘Do I really want to risk it?’ I’m just going to have to have my own farm where I grow my own vegetables and slaughter my own livestock. Then I can know that what I eat isn’t going to kill me, after it’s been cooked anyway. But that could get rather expensive… hmm. Maybe I”ll just buy all natural stuff and never eat junk food again. No, we all know that’s never going to happen. I guess I’ll just have to live with it I suppose. So, that’s it for now. Watch your snack foods, My Readers!

Pacman

Guess what guys? No that’s not it, guess again. Getting closer… try one more time. That’s it!!! You guessed it. Today is the 25th anniversery of Pacman. Aren’t you excieted? I’m sure you are. Pacman, wow that takes you back doesn’t it. I mean that’s one of the games that really started it all. Who knew such a simple idea would become such a hit. Some guy was just like ‘Hey let’s have this little round guy who travels around this mazeeating stuff.’ And someone else was like ‘Yeah that’s a great idea. And then there can be some other guys chasing him around and you have to avoid them, how cool would that be?’ Then they made it and it was a big it and… well you guys know the story. To think, we started out with stuff like that and Pong and now we have Mortal Combat, Splinter Cell, Halo, Katamari (don’t think I spelled that right), Dance Dance Revolution, and so much more. I could literally go on forever. Look at games like Twisted Metal, now there’s a  game that shows the very essence of video game greatness. (Twisted Metal 1-4 and Black are absolutely my favorite games of all time so please forgive me for being a little bias on this topic.) I mean you can just drive around in your awesomely tricked out car and blow up anything that moves, and a lot of stuff that doesn’t move. When you can drive a tank around the North Pole and blow up Santa’s Village then you know that society has really achieved something. Anyway, go Pacman! That’s it for now, Game On My Readers!

Short Poem: When It Rains

I think it’s prettiest when it rains

A sudden storm on a warm day

Changing the pastel blue sky

To a dark, fierce grey

It catches me by surprise

One innocent drop on my arm

It comes down soft at first

Then it hits harder, stings my skin

The wind blows harshly

Pushing objects in its path

People run for shelter, cover their heads

Lightning illuminates the sky for a moment

Then it slow again

Stops as suddenly as it began

The crowd goes about its business

I stand there soaking wet

A smile spreads across my face

What a wonderful day

*Sometimes you just need to take a walk in the rain…

I’m Not One to Complain But…

As I said in the title of this entry I’m not the kind of person who really complains about stuff. I try to stay relaxed and go with the flow. But this is my blog where I can post whatever I want and just sort of vent myself. So now I’m going to go on a little rant about something that just happened. If you don’t really want to read that kind of thing then just skip to the last paragraph where I’ll post a joke or a funny quote or something. See I came up stairs to get on the computer, check my e-mail and surf the web, you know. Well Men in Black 2 is on so I thought, ‘Maybe I’ll sort of watch that while I’m on the internet.’ So I was going to turn the tv so I could see it better from where the computer is. On top of the tv there was this little air purifier thing and when I turned tv it fell off and landed right on my head. That thing was a lot heavier than it looks and it beaned me right on the top of the head. Now I have a killer headache. I hope it didn’t cause any permanant damage. I’m not the most normal person as it is so I don’t need junk falling on my head and making me evevn stranger. Do you think that sort of thing could kill brain cells? I hope not. Well, enough ranting. Okay now for something interesting for the people who didn’t have a long enough attention span to read about my day and just want the good stuff.

Question: How many football players does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Answer:   No one knows, they keep getting electrocuted.

*I appologize if any footbal players were emmotionally damaged durring the reading of this joke.

*Actually I doubt that any football player would be intelligent enought to comprehend that joke and I do sort of hope that atleast one was offended by it.

*Just joking football players… please don’t beat me up… please…

AMSTEMM

*First off I’d like to say that we finally got the computer fixed (round of applause) so expect me to be posting more frequently again. Also I don’t have to wash dishes at Picasso’s (resturaunt) now I get to make salads and desserts. And they’re going to trane me to be a hostess. I’m really excited about that.

Last week I stayed in a dorm at UK as a part of the AMSTEMM Program. It stands for Apalachian and Minority Science Technology Engineering and Math Majors. (Wow, that’s a mouth full.) So I got to go at get a glimpse of college life while doing some really neat stuff. The first whole day there we took a tour of the campus, which is pretty nice, but it was so hot and muggy. It was like that the whole week and we did a lot of walking. I think I lost half of my weight in sweat. We went to a Legends baseball game, took the Toyota tour (for the umptienth time), went to Altech (they make animal vitamns and beer, wierd combination) where we got pictures with the governor (it was one big photo op for him), and to The Stadium (It’s a cool place to hang out they have a climbing wall, bowling, arcade games, billards, and laser tag. The laser tag wasn’t working at the time which was kind of dissapointing). We also got to see some cool stuff that the students are working on like the solar car and the virtual room (really awesome). Plus the people I met there were so great! They were so much like me… you know. It was nice to hang out with a bunch of smart people who were also really fun. The girls were so nice and the guys were so funny, and some of them were pretty cute ; ) . I always hate it when you go to something like that and you meet a bunch of cool peole and then you never get to see them again. I’m going to miss those guys, but I’m sure we’ll keep in touch through email. Well, I guess that’s all I have to say for now…okay. I”ll write you soon, My Readers.
